SiteHive Hexanode Vibration
The SiteHive Hexanode Vibration device continuously measures vibration to help you understand and manage impacts on people, structures, and the environment.

What the Hexanode Vibration Device does
The Hexanode Vibration device measures vibration levels in real time, capturing data on:
Structural vibration (PPV)
Human comfort vibration (VDV)
Ground-borne noise (calculated from vibration velocity)
When vibration exceeds 3 mm/s, a detailed waveform is automatically recorded — showing exactly what happened and when.
Each event is also assessed for frequency, supporting compliance with key vibration standards.
NATA calibration
For projects requiring traceable accuracy, SiteHive Hexanode Vibration Devices can be NATA calibrated to the international standard ISO 16063-21:2003.
This ensures vibration measurements meet the highest levels of accuracy, traceability, and compliance - suitable for regulatory reporting and verified assessments.
Structural (PPV) and human comfort (VDV)
The device measures both Peak Particle Velocity (PPV) and Vibration Dose Value (VDV):
PPV shows the instantaneous strength of vibration, used to assess the potential for structural damage.

VDV measures the cumulative impact over time, used to assess human comfort and perceived vibration levels.

Ground-borne noise calculations

In addition to vibration, the Hexanode calculates ground-borne noise using vibration velocity data.
This allows you to assess how vibration is perceived as sound within structures- providing valuable context for community or sensitive receptor assessments.
Waveforms
Each waveform event includes an automatic frequency analysis, helping you assess vibration against the appropriate standards.
This analysis identifies the dominant frequencies of vibration events, which is key to determining potential structural or comfort impacts.

Results are clearly displayed in SiteHive Enviro with easy-to-read graphs and frequency breakdowns.
Standards and compliance
The SiteHive Hexanode Vibration supports assessments in line with key international standards, including:
DIN 4150-3 / BS 7385-2 - Structural vibration and building damage
DIN 4150-2 / BS 6472 - Human comfort vibration in buildings
ISO 16063-21:2003 - Calibration of vibration transducers (NATA standard)
Using these standards ensures vibration data is accurate, defensible, and suitable for regulatory submissions, impact assessments, and formal compliance reports.
Self-orienting in any direction

The Hexanode Vibration is designed to automatically self-orient and measure vibration accurately in any direction.
It can be mounted on walls, posts, or directly on the ground, making it easy to deploy on all types of sites - from construction zones to urban environments.
Once powered on, the device automatically begins recording and transmitting data to your SiteHive Enviro Dashboard with no manual setup required.
