NATA Calibration
Ensure your environmental data meets the highest accuracy and compliance standards.

SiteHive’s NATA-calibrated Hexanode Noise, Hexanode Noise+Dust and Hexanode Vibration devices are now available, offering verified, traceable performance that aligns with national and international measurement standards.
Available for next generation devices
What is NATA Calibration
NATA (the National Association of Testing Authorities, Australia) accredits laboratories that meet strict technical and quality standards.
A NATA-calibrated device means that:
Calibration has been performed by a NATA-accredited laboratory.
Results are traceable to national standards, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
Calibration data is fully documented and verifiable, providing confidence in your monitoring results.
This level of certification ensures your environmental monitoring data is defensible, compliant, and trusted for both regulatory and stakeholder reporting.
Calibration Standards
All SiteHive Hexanode Noise and Noise+Dust devices calibrated under NATA are aligned with the following international standards:
IEC 61672-3:2013 – Sound Level Meters (Part 3: Periodic tests)
IEC 61260-1:2019 – Electroacoustics — Octave-band and fractional-octave-band filters (Part 1: Specifications)
These standards define the precision and accuracy required for professional-grade noise monitoring systems.
Calibration Process
Each device undergoes a detailed, traceable calibration process before delivery:
Laboratory testing – Devices are verified by a NATA-accredited calibration facility.
Standard alignment – Measurement performance is tested against IEC 61672-3 and IEC 61260-1.
Calibration Certificate – You receive a Certificate of Calibration linking your device to national standards.
Field deployment – Devices arrive ready for immediate use in compliance-sensitive monitoring applications.
Available for Next Generation Devices

NATA Calibration is available exclusively for SiteHive’s Next Generation Hexanode Noise and Noise+Dust Devices and Hexanode Vibration Devices.
These devices feature enhanced sensor architecture and processing capability, allowing for laboratory-level calibration accuracy and long-term performance stability.
Advanced Features Supported
NATA-calibrated Hexanode devices maintain full support for SiteHive’s powerful analysis tools, including:
Directional noise mapping (DoA) – Visualise the source and travel of noise directly on your SiteHive Dashboard.
Triggered images and audio – Automatically captured when high noise levels occur (based on LAmax values).
AI-classified audio – Intelligent identification of event types (e.g., truck, hammering, reversing beeper).
In-field calibration – On-site calibration checks for continued confidence between NATA calibration cycles.
Why It Matters
Choosing a NATA-calibrated device gives you:
Confidence that your data meets industry and regulatory accuracy standards.
Traceability for every reading, with calibration linked to national measurement standards.
Compliance readiness, ensuring data is defensible for audits, reports, and environmental approvals.
Consistency, enabling comparable results across time and sites.
